Grandmaster Sun Ki Chong opened his first school in Syracuse, NY in 1985 and later founded World Class Taekwondo in Buffalo, NY. He has personally overseen five locations comprising of hundreds of students and instructors. This year, he has celebrated 30 years of World Class Taekwondo and we gladly celebrate alongside him. Grand Master Chong is one of the leading Taekwondo instructors in the world. He is a former Korean champion and has served many years as head coach for the U.S. National Taekwondo Team (1988-1995). He also created our well-rounded curriculum which is a blend of Kukkiwon forms mixed with One-Step Sparring and Self Defense.
Grandmaster Woo Sup Kim learned and developed as a Master in the World Class way for 7 years at Grandmaster Chong's dojang in Buffalo, NY before opening the very first affiliate school in 1998. Since then, over three dozen affiliate schools have opened across the United States, including ours here at Master Roberts World Class Taekwondo. Every affiliate school is individually owned and instructed by former students and masters of World Class Taekwondo. We are part of a larger family that collaborates together on everything from daily operating practices to macro projects in order to maintain the synergy and energy that is true to our founding principles. Grandmaster Sun Ki Chong's passion for Taekwondo created a legacy that continues to inspire thousands nationwide!
