Life isn’t meant to be lived alone, nor is a martial art designed to be mastered in isolation. Taekwondo in particular, demands cooperation between students, instructors, masters, and grandmasters. From the simple holding of a target for someone else, to sparring, reciprocity is important and practiced constantly. In order to have a good partnership, one must first learn to be favorable and considerate themselves. The ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse people and teams, overcome obstacles with others, and support classmates toward shared goals, are the foundations needed to thrive in every important facet of life. Here, at Master Roberts World Class Taekwondo, we emphasize the importance of cooperation in each class and encourage students to work towards their goals while supporting each other.
